Dr. Nima Ghorbani is a faculty member at the New Washington School of Psychiatry and a Professor of Psychology at the University of Tehran. He is a certified teacher and supervisor of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) through the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA). Additionally, he is a licensed psychologist in Washington, DC, and California.

He is the author of several books in Persian, including Self Narrated by Self, Joyful Madness, Hidden Trickeries, and Kings of Good and Evil: Envy and Greed, Courtesy and Gratitude. Dr. Ghorbani has published more than 70 papers in professional peer-reviewed psychological journals internationally.

Dr. Ghorbani lectures worldwide, leads workshops for professional audiences, consults for companies and agencies, provides expert clinical case consultations to mental health professionals, and conducts ISTDP core training for therapists certified by IEDTA globally.

He was a Post-Doctoral Clinical Fellow in the Professional Psychology Program at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a Mental Health Clinician at the International Institute for Multicultural Education and Services in Los Angeles, California.

He has more than 20 years of experience practicing psychotherapy, and teaching and supervising psychologists and psychiatrists.
